There's always so much going on Lake Havasu, it's tough to decide which events to attend. I went to the Lucas Oil drag boat races last Friday & Saturday and witnessed first hand how dangerous this sport is. The weather was beautiful and the races were held in Thompson Bay just beyond the Channel. Unfortunately, there were white caps on the lake on Sunday and the races were called off for the day due to the high winds. Lucas ended up letting the racers finish up on Monday and the spectators were allowed to watch for free. Lucas Oil drag racers will be back for another race in October.
